I came across a scripture that made me stop in my tracks and realise that as Christians we need to be more in tune with God and His Word.
John 3:3-5
New International Version
3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]”
P 4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.
Being “born again” is a Christian term that means a spiritual rebirth or a fresh start given by God. To be born from above or of God to receive our spiritual nature
Galatians 4:26
26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
It is not a physical birth. It is a change in the heart and spirit caused by the Holy Spirit. Believers become children of God and join His family
Jesus did the opposite; he was born into the physical realm left behind His spiritual/divine nature and His connection to it.
What is sin
Chata’ (חָטָא): The most common word for sin, meaning “to miss” or “to miss the mark,” like an archer whose arrow strays from the bullseye.
Hamartia (ἁμαρτία): The primary Greek word for sin, also meaning “to miss the mark” or fail to reach a goal. The Septuagint (the ancient Greek translation of the Old Testament) used hamartia to capture the full scope of Hebrew sin terms.
Our short falls are no longer used to measure US as a human being. All have fallen short of the glory of God but will be measured by the life we lead in Christ and the life we have in Christ.
The wages of sin is death from Romans
שכר (Sakhar – Wages/Pay/Reward): In biblical Hebrew, sakhar means payment, hire, or the reward earned for labor or service. Just as a worker receives a paycheck for a completed job, sin acts as an employer, and the payout it naturally generates is death.
החטא (Hachet – The Sin): Derived from the root chata, which literally means “to miss the mark” or “to go astray” from a path, standard, or relationship with God.
מוות (Mavet – Death): In Hebrew thought, mavet is not merely the clinical cessation of breathing. It encompasses physical decay, moral ruin, and profound separation from God, who is viewed as the living source of all existence (ChayimThe word is grammatically plural. In Jewish tradition, this implies that life is not meant to be lived alone, but in connection with others, family, and God

2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and short falls, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the 8heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

1 John 5

Faith in the Incarnate Son of God
5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
6 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
7 For there are three that testify:
8 the[a] Spirit, (of truth) the water (of life) and the blood (of the lamb) and the three are in agreement.
9 We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.
10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony.
Isaiah 43:11 states: “I, even I, am the LORD, and besides Me there is no savior.”
Philippians 3:20: “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.
Born of water, baptised in water born of the Spirit, Baptised in the Spirit, Baptised with living water baptised in the Spirit of Truth
