At the end of the age, My righteous ones will
shine like the sun in My kingdom.
Matthew 13:43
Pastor comment – Have I ever considered myself righteous, that I am right with God, no never, my thoughts betray me let alone my actions and my mouth has an independence that is embarrassing sometimes but it’s about how God sees us it’s not based on our own perspective of self or our stature in this fallen, miserable world. It’s how God sees us in His Kingdom, it’s what we will become when we enter through the gates of His city, when we cast of the dirty rags of this world and put on the robes of purity and glory, when we join the mighty throng of believers singing a new song of joy and peace, love and hope then the righteousness of Christ in us will shine like the sun through us and we will be complete and as we were created to be ‘glorious.’
- Background: Jesus shares this promise in a parable about the end times, illustrating the ultimate reward for the righteous.
- Explanation: Believers who follow Christ will reflect His glory, living in eternal joy and peace in God’s kingdom.
- Application: Live with the hope of this future glory. Let your actions reflect God’s righteousness now, knowing the reward is eternal.
