I have blotted out your sins and dissolved
them like the mist. Isaiah 44:22
Pastor comments -What with yesterday’s promise of forgiveness and today’s I realised that God, my God, is the only one that could in fact forgive me and give me a second, third or even seventy times seven chance to be forgiven (Matthew 18:21-22) no one else has the authority to wipe away my transgressions and dissolve them like mist into nothingness, to give me a fresh start every morning, to be able to stand clean and blameless before the throne of God.
- Background: This verse speaks of God’s mercy and willingness to forgive His people despite their rebellion.
- Explanation: God forgives and forgets sins completely, removing them as though they never existed.

- Micah 7:19: “You will hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.”
